Pokemon Go Record-Breaking Revenue of $1.92 billion in 2020

Trainers, 2020 is over and will remain in our memories as one of the worst and most difficult years. We have witnessed many bad events, and we all want to forget them.

Many gaming companies have literally struggled with the crisis, and one of those companies was Niantic and the popular mobile game Pokemon Go. They found a way to meet the demands and desires of the players and succeeded in their goal. We have witnessed many Pokemon Go events, bonuses, new Pokemon, and whatnot. To be honest, they did their best and made the game much more interesting. Yes, we know there were problems, a lot of bugs, etc., but they always tried to satisfy our desires and demands and never gave up.

According to SuperData, Niantic quickly adapted to the restrictions of COVID-19, allowing Pokemon GO to grow 39% year-over-year. Sounds unreal, right? What if we tell you that Niantic and Pokemon Go managed to gain a massive revenue of $1.92 billion in 2020 and the game is listed top 5 in the Top 10 free to play mobile titles in 2020?

Niantic and Pokemon Go donated $870,000 to pandemic relief and other causes in 2020. They also donated a total of $7 million in 2020 to Black Lives Matter charities and promoted 1,000 small businesses for free.

We hope that 2021 will be even more successful for Niantic and Pokemon Go and that we will continue to break all records.
