GWENT: The Witcher Card Game Beta Starts Today!

A Closed Gwent: The Witcher Card Game Beta begins today. This was announced by CD Projekt Red. I am still thinking if this game will do any good on the market. There are a lot of card games that are already well known. I personally hope that Gwent: The Witcher Card Game will get some nice results after its release. It’s a really familiar game to The Witcher 3. You will see why.

I, together with the whole team at FGR, registered for the closed beta. You should do it too. Let’s hope that we’ll get the closed beta and try the game so we can bring you a complete review for it.

The Witcher Card Game Beta Is Finally Here!

There is a limited number of PC and Xbox One players that have access to the beta test right away.

UPDATE

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game Beta is now available for PS4 users. Take a look at the trailer below and share your thoughts with us.

The first invitations should be sent out in short time to those who registered on Gwent’s website. You can do it too if you haven’t already. This was written on their official Twitter account.

After you register you will get this message (pic):

If you were a part of the previous server stress test for Gwent, you will probably need to make sure you use a new code in order to gain access to the beta.

“Gwent is an example of how the community can have an actual impact on game developers,” Marcin Momot stated. “What we created as a part of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is now, because of your involvement, a standalone game and a totally different experience that firmly stands on its own. The closed beta is another step in the process. You can now help us shape the game into something you can call your own.” Gwent was mainly announced at E3, that is when we saw that it is more similar to The Witcher 3 than we expected.

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game History and Our Thoughts

The Witcher Card Game Beta was expected to begin in September, but it was delayed for later. “We know we can make a first impression only once and want to be sure everything is ready before we blast off. Releasing a good game is more important for us than keeping a deadline.” is what they said.

I think that it will be hard for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game to push itself all the way up on the market. All we can do is wait and see what is going to be the outcome from all of this. If we get the closed beta, make sure that we are going to make a video material and show you how the game looks. In the meantime, please make sure to leave a comment with your opinion on this game.

Our Score

Even if there are lots of Card Games out on the market, we think that Gwent: The Witcher Card Game will catch up very fast.
