Dead Island 2 is not yet with an official release date. But a lot of rumors are saying the game will take its place in 2017.
Dead Island is a horror role-playing game, first released in 2011. Back then, the developer and publisher Techland got a positive review about the game. After 2 years a new chapter was released, Dead Island: Riptide. The last title Escape Dead Island was introduced in 2014, Since then, Dead Island remains “dead”.
What I know is you can choose between 4 characters and the multiplayer mode can be up to 8 players. I will give you a quick review on the story. Zombie apocalypse starts to take over the world and to wipe out the humankind from its existence. First place for the outbreak is California, then it spreads to San Francisco and LA. The US army closes the border and fights against the plague.

Yager Development and Sumo Digital made a deal to continue the development of Dead Island, but since then no news has been announced. I was thinking that maybe they don’t like the idea of Zombie mode in the game anymore.
But, Klemens Kundratitz, the CEO of Koch, have announced the comeback of the Zombies in the new Dead Islands franchise.
According to him, Dead Islands 2 is a great project and Sumo Digital are working hard to improve and release the game in 2017. But at this moment he is working on another project, and he will share more information about Dead Islands 2 soon.
