Halo Wars 2 Blitz Beta is coming on January 20 for PC and Xbox One as a new, card-based mode.
After the release of Halo Wars 2 Beta, the devs got a feedback on the gameplay, which helped them a lot to improve the game. Well, Halo Wars 2 is launching on February 21 with better technical support. But for now, let’s focus on the new game mode, called Blitz. This is a card based game, with deck building and strategy that will make you part of the Halo universe. You as a player and a leader will have resources to build a card deck, which helps you to destroy the opponents on the battlefield.
On this battlefield, “Proving Grounds” you can choose how you want to play, 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3. All the Faction Leaders and Blitz cards, available on February 17 when the full game launch, can use them during the Beta. In addition, there will be daily and weekly quests where you can earn rewards.
Unfortunately, everything you earn and even the game progress, will not take place to the retail game. Because of this reason, whoever participates in Blitz, will get 2 special rewards. That’s up to 2 free in game Blitz card packs. One pack for logging in and another when you finish the first match. It kinda sucks, but let’s see how it goes.
It is expected for Halo Wars 2 Blitz Beta to be active for 10 days. This means you will have time from January 20 until January 30 to take a look at the new mode.
