Age of Empires II: HD Edition Patch 5.2 With Balance Improvements
Age of Empires II: HD Edition just got its new update. The open Beta patch 5.2 will now bring network speed system improvements, community fixes, bug fixes and balance improvements.
If you haven’t got the Beta yet, here is what you need to do. Go on Steam, right click on Age Of Empires II: HD, select properties and then choose BETAS. After clicking on the dropdown, select Open Beta Patch 4.8 and you are ready. Keep on reading and find out more about the patch 5.2 notes.
Age of Empires II: HD Edition Update, Patch 5.2:
First thing first. I will start with the network improvements. There is no longer going to be a network delay at the beginning of the game. The minimum command delay is significantly lower.
This allows a better performance. Also, the throttling system will now allow faster network speeds.
Community fixes are made to AI, soldiers and villagers. AI will no longer freeze during a game. Soldiers will now attack the wonder properly and will not get stuck in a loop. Villagers will respond to attacks and they can attack towers correctly.
Here are some balance improvements as well:
- Malay cheaper fishing ship cost removed
- Elite Camel Archers +1 bonus attack vs infantry removed
- Harbors reload time increased from 2.5s to 3s
- Elite Arambai search radius increased by 2
