Planet Coaster Has Now Sold Over 1 Million Copies, New Project on it’s Way

The construction and management simulation video game Planet Coaster has sold more than 1 million copies as announced today by the developers, Frontier Developments.

Planet Coaster was revealed back in 2015, but under a different name, Coaster Park Tycoon. That was the initial name for the game, but at E3 2016, was renamed to Planet Coaster.

At the very first month after launch, the game sold over 400.000 copies. Today, the community has grown and it counts more than 1 million players.

Frontier’s first success is Elite: Dangerous, a space-combat simulation video game available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

As we know, Gamescom is going live next week and we expect to see a new project announcement by Frontier. We know that they are into simulation games, but we are very curious to know what genre is coming next.
