Steam is the Best Game Distribution Platform, Both for Devs and Players

Not just for the players, but also for the Devs. Valve has been doing an incredible job on developing what both the devs and players need. Thanks to Steam, everyone finds himself in a win-win situation. We mean both on the Developers and Fans. It’s not just the caliber of the game titles that arrive on Steam, but more factors determine why Steam is the best game distribution platform of all times.

First and most important, Indie developers find Steam as their biggest chance to promote their game. Over the past, there have been thousands of Indie games appearing on Steam. The well-known Steam platform, which drives an insane amount of traffic on a daily basis, improves their chance of selling the product. Being one of the common reasons why Steam is good for Indie developers, the additional headaches are finally gone for everyone.

On the other side, users can use Steam’s well-known market and sell or at least trade their favorite cosmetic items. Steam takes a part of the full price, but still, those fees are completely acceptable if we take into account that Steam offers this feature for free.

Big Game Titles

Famous Game Titles such as Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds just puts Steam on a whole new level. Knowing that PUBG is still in an Early Access, there are not that many cosmetic items coming from. However, as soon as they start coming in, the Steam Market will receive even more queries than some of the big online markets such as Amazon or eBay. It’s a risk that Valve’s willing to take, and that’s another reason why Steam is the best reseller platform for PC users.

Having a good Economy, good features and probably the best and most optimized in-game overlay, PC users are just more than satisfied on what Steam offers.

Impressive Steam Growth

This is probably the most impressive part of Steam’s story. Over the past years, Valve’s Steam has been growing quite a bit, but this year’s success rate cannot even be compared to the past. This has something to do with Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, as Valve has probably noted new PC users registering on Steam. Talking about the numbers, Since January 2016, Valve reports that Steam has received a total of 27 million players.

As the last number record, Valve has stated that has a total of 125 million users. I hate to repeat myself, but this is just one more reason why Steam is the best digital distribution platform for all PC users across the globe.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
