What is the best Pokemon against Legendary Beast Suicune and How to Beat Him

UPDATE: Suicune’s supreme counters:

  • Raikou with Thunder Shock/Wild Charge
  • Zapdos with Charge Beam/Thunderbolt or Zap Cannon

Also, if you want to have more fun, get a group of 20 Pokemon Go players, use only Tangela and you can easily defeat Suicune. Check out the trailer below.

Suicune is one of the Legendary Beasts now available to battle, defeat and catch in Pokemon Go. This Legendary Beast is part of the Water Type Pokemon, with 2823 Max CP, 180 Attack, 235 Defense and 200 Stamina. As a Water Type, Suicune is weak against Electric and Grass Type, but strong against Fire, Ice, Steel and Water Type.

Suicune’s best moveset is Snarl/Hydro Pump.

When it comes down to Legendary Beast Suicune, my No.1 counter choice is Venusaur with his Vine Whip/Petal Blizzard moveset. This is the strongest Pokemon against Suicune, and his moveset deals the highest amount of damage.

There are two other great counters that can cause a pain for Suicune as follows:

  • Exeggutor – Bullet Seed/Solar Beam
  • Jolteon – Thunder Shock/Thunder

If you don’t have any of the above mentioned Pokemon, don’t worry, I’ve got your back. You can always use other Pokemon that can be very effective against Suicune, but only when in bigger Raid groups:

  • Magneton – Thunder Shock/Zap Cannon
  • Ivysaur – Vine Whip/Solar Beam
  • Elekid – Thunder Shock/Discharge

Suicune’s defense stats are pretty much the same as Articuno, no x2 weakness and without super effective charge moves against its main counters. My prediction is to see Suicune defeated by 7 Trainers or 4 Pro Trainers.

Suicune is available only in Asia-Pacific region at the moment, but with the rotation, it will be available in the US, Europe and Africa after September 30.

Just a reminder, before entering a Legendary Raid, always have your best Pokemon by your side and his best movesets.
