PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Console Launch Exclusive on Xbox One, Including Three Limited Edition Cosmetic Packs

PUBG will come to Xbox One on December 12. This information was announced by Microsoft and the developer Bluehole. It will be released as a part of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Preview program.

We’re approaching development on Xbox One with the same community-driven focus that we’ve taken with the game on PC. As a result, the ultimate battle royale experience that fans play on Xbox One will be slightly different than what players know today on PC,” said Chang Han Kim, the CEO of PUBG Corporations.

PUBG is described as the “console launch exclusive”. This means that the game will probably come to other console platforms. It is also said by Bluehole, that there are plans to launch the 1.0 version of PUBG on PC. Chang Han Kim also said that the console and the PC versions will be developed separately, and they intend to join them together someday in the future.

Both versions are being developed at the same time, but they both have their own separate roadmaps. Various Xbox One features and functionality will change and come online over time just like they have on PC, with our goal being to have both versions align to each other as soon as possible. Feedback, as you know has been critical to the game’s success, so beginning December 12 we want to hear from Xbox fans on what they think about PUBG and how we can make the best version of the game possible.”

This version of PUBG will have three limited edition cosmetic packs. These packs are the PUBG Warrior Pack, the PUBG Accessory Pack and the PUBG Tracksuit Pack.

This is an Xbox exclusive only. Kim said that they do not have any plans to promote in-game purchases in the Xbox Preview version. The price for the packs hasn’t been announced.

Playerunknown’s Battleground is an enormous hit on PC, with more than 2 million players on Steam.
