Pokemon Go Gen 3 Types, Max CP, Babies, Starters, Legendaries, Mythicals and Most Powerful Pokemon

Since the release of Pokemon Go back in 2016, the game had its ups and downs, losing a lot of Trainers, but with the release of Raid Battles and Legendary Pokemon, things have changed. A lot of players came back and the game has risen from the “dead.”

As many of you know, we had a chance to battle and catch 8 Legendary Pokemon so far, and it has been fun to play and meet new Trainers out there. Everyone has given their best to achieve one goal, to catch em’ all. But now, it’s time to move forward and enjoy the new upcoming, long-awaited Gen 3 Pokemon.

As confirmed by Niantic’s CEO, John Hanke, the next content update will contain Gen 3 Pokemon. Therefore, I have prepared a list of all Gen 3 Pokemon Types, their Max CP, new pre-evolution babies, starters, Legendary Gen 3 Pokemon, Mythical, and who is the most powerful Pokemon in Gen 3?

Gen 3 Babies

There are two babies in Gen 3, Azuril (baby Marill) and Wynaut (baby Wobuffet) and they are new pre-evolutions.

Gen 3 Starters

Pokemon Go Trainers had Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile as a starter pack before, so now we have:

  • Torchic – Combusken – Blaziken: Fire/Fighting Type Pokemon from Gen 3
  • Mudkip – Marshtomp – Swampert: Water/Ground Type Pokemon from Gen 3
  • Treecko – Grovyle – Sceptile: Grass Type Pokemon from Gen 3

Legendary and Mythical Gen 3 Pokemon

There are three groups of Legendaries from Gen 3, the Weather Trio, Eon Duo and Titans.

Weather Trio Legendary Pokemon

  • Kyogre – Water Type
  • Groudon – Ground Type
  • Rayquaza – Dragon/Fire Type

Eon Duo Legendary Pokemon

  • Latios – Dragon/Psychic
  • Latias – Dragon Psychic

Legendary Titans

  • Regice – Ice Type
  • Regirock – Rock Type
  • Registeel – Steel Type

Mythical Gen 3 Pokemon are Jirachi and Deoxys.

Top 7 most powerful Gen 3 Pokemon and their stats

In the previous Generations, we had Dragonite, Snorlax, Tyranitar, Arcanine, Lapras, Flareon, Exeguttor and more, but it’s time for a brand new “gang” as follows:

  1. Slaking with 4548 CP, 290 Attack, 183 Defense and 273 Stamina.
  2. Metagross with 3664 CP, 257 Attack, 248 Defense and 160 Stamina.
  3. Salamance with 3532 CP, 277 Attack, 169 Defense and 190 Stamina.
  4. Aggron with 3004 CP, 198 Attack, 314 Defense and 140 Stamina.
  5. Swampert with 2815 CP, 208 Attack, 175 Defense and 200 Stamina.
  6. Blaziken with 2631 CP, 240 Attack, 141 Defense and 160 Stamina.
  7. Sceptile with 2584 CP, 226 Attack, 180 Defense and 140 Stamina.

I know that a lot of players are extremely cautious when it comes down to what Pokemon to power up and use Stardust on, so I’ve made a list of Pokemon that are safe from replacement. Happy haunting and catch em’ all!

    1. There’s been nothing mentioned officially about it.

      They could do a lot of things, my rampant speculation from most to least likely.

      1. They’ve proven they’d change the CP formula for just one mon (they did it to mewtwo) so that’d be the easiest option.
      2. They could make it’s quick move do zero damage (which is a simple way to implement it’s ability, which makes it wait every other turn)
      3. They could implement abilities.

      1. I would be very disappointed if they went with #1, since that does not follow at all like the games. #2 seems like a decent compromise, but ultimately #3 should be the right way to go. I agree that one is not very likely, though.
