Pokemon Go Trainers Fulfilled Cancer Patient’s Last Wish to Catch Entei

A local Taiwan Pokemon Go group was having a normal day, like any other day, when one of their teammates send them a text, “Can you help me?”
An older Pokemon Go player, Mr. Xiao, was part of a Raid Team in Taiwan and they’ve been using a chat tool called LINE to organize themselves before a Raid and to keep in touch if any news pop up, as reported on Ettoday, a Chinese site.
One day, on October 30, this older Trainer was sent to a hospital because he was diagnosed with cancer. The man then sent a message to his group, saying, “Can you please help me catch Entei?” without telling them the reason why he couldn’t catch Entei by himself, and without letting them know he has been hospitalized.
When the local Raid Team wanted to reach out to him and ask him why, they lost track of the old man and have tried to contact him, but without any answer.
The next day, his son Mr. Shaw, took his dad’s phone and sent a message to the Pokemon Go group saying “My dad has left.”
The group then decided to fulfill their friend’s last wish and went to his family to borrow their friend’s phone and catch Entei. On November 1, the group caught Entei. Here is the image of that moment:
Some Pokemon Go players from the group have changed their IGN to Xiao’s Guard, Xiao’s Air Force No.1, Xiao’s Air Force No.2, in memory of their friend.
May his soul rest in peace and the Legendary Beast watch over him!
