Sony’s PlayStation Sold More Consoles for Black Friday 2017 than in 22-year of History
Sony took part in this year’s Black Friday, and it had enormous discounts and deals on PS4 consoles and PS VR headset bundles.
It was revealed by Eric Lempel that this Black Friday, was, in fact, the biggest Black Friday in PS history. During the shopping holiday, Sony sold more consoles than they have even in their 22 years. Also, many PS4 owners purchased PS Plus subscriptions. Sony had huge benefits from this year’s Black Friday.
Commenting on the PS VR Black Friday bundle, Lempel stated that the consumers love the VR technology. This means that shoppers wanted to buy everything, not just the consoles and subscriptions. Lempel also added that there is a lot more to come for the VR headset.
This strong performance is ahead of PS Experience 2017, an event which will take place in the start of December, and will also give Sony another chance steal the attention of the ones who yet do not own PS, and also change the minds of the ones who want to buy Xbox One X instead of PS4 Pro.
This event will be all about adding more confidence in the brand and letting buyers know that they are making the right decision. It is expected that this event will contain information about the PS4 exclusives, including fresh information about God of War and The Last of Us Part Two.
This is a great opportunity to let the fans know that there are lots of new and fun things for playing coming in the future. It also means that there will be more PS Plus subscribers, which is a quite important segment of the PS business.
