Nintendo will Continue to Sell the Handheld Game Console 3DS in 2018, Kimishima Confirmed

The handheld game console 3DS produced by Nintendo will keep on selling in 2018, according to Nintendo’s President Tatsumi Kimishima.

In an interview with Kyoto Shimbun, a Japanese daily newspaper, Nintendo’s President, Tatsumi Kimishima, has confirmed that the company will continue to sell the Nintendo 3DS, and he has no plans of moving the game console aside.

The Nintendo 3DS was launched back in 2011 worldwide with 8 games in Japan, 15 games in NA and 14 games in Europe. Since then, over 69 million units have been shipped worldwide, and a total of 335 million Nintendo 3DS games have been sold worldwide as of June 30, 2017. In addition, the most popular 3DS game is Pokemon X and Y, with 16 million copies sold.
