Back in 2017, Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara in an interview with Bloomberg has revealed that trading and PvP features are something they are working on and these will be the next big, new features in Pokemon Go.
Tsunekazu Ishihara CEO of Tokyo-based Pokemon said that he has big plans for Pokemon Go, including trading and PvP, as one of the key features seen in other Pokemon games.
“We’ve only accomplished 10 percent of what Pokemon and Niantic are trying to do, so going forward we will have to include fundamental Pokemon experiences such as Pokemon trading and peer-to-peer battles, and other possibilities.”
That was the first confirmation by the company on these features and today, Niantic support sent an email, in which they said they’re excited about this new feature (trading), but they are not able to reveal any details.
I know that you wish to know of the implementation of the Trading Feature in Pokemon Go. Makes us appreciate your love for Pokemon Go.
We are as excited as you’re about this feature! Also, we would not be able to state the particulars on the implementation of the same.”
The email can be found on TSR, thanks to mrmousepad. Don’t forget to give an upvote!
It looks like we are definitely getting a new feature – Trading in Pokemon Go, but we’re not familiar with the details yet. This is just a confirmation that they still have plans for it.
I’m 100% that most of the Pokemon Go community want to see this new feature in the game, and I expect to see it later this year. So, until an official announcement, stay tuned and get the latest Pokemon Go news.
