We are expecting a lot from Ubisoft. The publisher has confirmed that their studios which are led by Massive Entertainment are working on a sequel of The Division. More will be revealed at the E3 briefing this year.
Massive Entertainment is also developing for an untitled game revolving around James Cameron’s Avatar universe. Also, it is expected more details to be revealed about Skull and Bones. We also have Beyond Good & Evil 2, which is a sequel that was announced last year. It is 14 years after the first game came out for Xbox, GameCube, PS2 and Windows.
Ubisoft’s Assasins Creed franchise might not have a new game. It is reported that the developers want to have a two-year gap between the games.
We might also see some info about the Splinter Cell franchise.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands had an update last week which introduced Sam Fisher. This new character is voiced by Michael Ironside. Ubisoft has successfully prevented a takeover bid from Vivendi last month through a partnership with Tencent from China. The documents include Tencent becoming a helping hand for Ubisoft to publish the games in the Chinese market.
This is especially for the eSports business like Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. We hope the company will reveal more at their briefing this year.
