The fifth in a row Community Day event is going live this weekend, on May 19, and during this 3-hour event, Pokemon Go players around the world will have a chance to catch Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard. Players will also receive bonuses such as 3x Catch Stardust, 3-hour Lures, and most importantly, well at least for me, to catch their shiny forms!
Yes, that’s right, Charmander’s family shiny forms have been added to the game, meaning we are going to catch shiny/black Charizard.
Niantic confirmed that evolving Charmeleon into Charizard will learn Blast Burn as an exclusive move. Blast Burn will be with two bars and 100% damage, making Charizard the highest DPS Fire Type Pokemon.
Fire Spin/Blast Burn to be Charizard’s best moveset.
Until today, we weren’t sure if Niantic is going to release their shiny forms, but the dataminers found the assets, meaning only one thing – Black Charizard incoming!
For last, Pokemon Go will host a new Adventure Week event starting right after Community Day event, and this event will go live until May 25.
