Pokemon Go New Feature Trading and Pokemon That Evolve when Traded

Three new features are coming to Pokemon Go this month, and with the TRADING feature, Niantic could add trading triggered evolutions in the game.

Trading is one of the most requested add-ons for the mobile game, and since launch, Pokemon Go players have requested trading and now their wish is coming true!

Through trading, certain Pokemon can evolve, and here is the list of the Pokemon that evolve via trade:

Gen 1

  • Kadabra
  • Machoke
  • Graveler
  • Haunter

Gen 2

  • Poliwhirl
  • Slowpoke
  • Onix
  • Seadra
  • Scyther
  • Porygon

Gen 3

  • Clamperl (×2)

Gen 4

  • Rhydon
  • Electabuzz
  • Magmar
  • Porygon
  • Dusclops

Gen 5

  • Boldore
  • Gurdurr
  • Karrablast
  • Shelmet
  • Feebas

Gen 6

  • Spritzer
  • Swirlix
  • Phantump
  • Pumpkaboo

Knowing the fact that Niantic has never changed evolution methods before, Pokemon Go players might not see these evolutions being made by trading, but let’s hope that we are going to ‘witness’ another miracle the following days.

Trading is necessary in order to collect every Pokemon in the Pokedex, as some Pokemon can only be found in certain regions.
