Regis Family and Their Shiny Forms Added, Get Ready for a New Legendary Pokemon

Trainers, the Regi Trio Registeel, Regice and Regirock are now added to the GM file and we expect to see their debut the following days.

The famous Pokemon GO data miner Chrales has found the Regis Trio code in the GM file, including their shinies and here is how they look:


If we take a look at Chrales’ previous findings, we’ll see that usually it takes two days up to one week for an official confirmation, and I really hope that in this case it will be the same. I really want that Regice!

Now, if the Regis family is coming next, now it’s the perfect time to get to know them a little bit better. Thanks to Gamepress and their analysis, we now have the perfect counters.

Each Regi is a different type, but they all have similar counters. Registeel and Regice are weak to Fire Types, while Registeel and Regirock to Ground Types.

Against Registeel and Regice, the best counters are Moltres and Entei. Moltres is special because of its higher Attack stat and its resistance to Focus Blast.

Against Regice, Ho-Oh is a high TDO option, resisting all but the Ice-types attacks. Also, Fire Fang+Fire Blast Salamance can become highly effective against Regice, and both Metagross and Focus Blast Mewtwo function great against Regice too.

Against Registeel, Groudon is the best pick, because it has the title of the most powerful Ground-type in Pokemon GO. But since not every PoGO player has Groudon, a decent replacement can be the Fire-types like Machamp, Hariyama and Heracross.

To beat Regirock, Groudon and Kyogre are the top picks. Kyogre has higher DPS, Groudon has enormously high resistance to Zap Cannon and Stone Edge. Exeggutor and Venusaur are a good pick.
