Community Day event in Pokemon Go is something that we’re all going to be part of this year, and I really hope that Niantic will continue with this event next year.
As we all know, during the 3-hour event, players around the world have a chance to earn more XP, Stardust, bonuses and catch a special Pokemon that can learn an exclusive move. If you think that using Fast and Charged TMs is a smart idea, please don’t, because Fast TMs and Charged TMs will not grant exclusive moves during Community Day. To learn the exclusive move, you must catch or evolve the featured Pokemon during Community Day hours.
Also, Niantic ‘unleashes’ the shiny forms of that specific Pokemon and its evolutions, which makes the event more fun.
Until today, Pokemon Go players have been part of six Community Day events, one for each month:
- January – Pikachu
- February – Dratini
- March – Bulbasaur
- April – Mareep
- May 19 – Charmander
- June 16 – Larvitar
- July 8 – Squirtle
July Community event is revealed and will go live on July 8 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM CEST.
- Featured Pokemon: Squirtle July 8;
- Exclusive Move: Hydro Cannon;
- Bonus: 1/4 egg distance hatch;
- Bonus: 3-hour Lures;
- Squirtle Squad teased.
So far, Niantic follows a pattern based on a pattern established after February, Dratini Community Day event of 10k hatched 3 stage Pokemon followed by a starter, in Dex order.
Here is an analysis of each month:
- January – Starter Pokemon Pikachu;
- February – 10k Eggs Gen 1 Dratini;
- March – Starter Pokemon Bulbasaur;
- April – 10k Eggs Gen 2 Mareep;
- May – Starter Pokemon Charmander;
- June – 10k Eggs Gen 2 Larvitar;
- July – Starter Pokemon Squirtle.
According to a Pokemon Go player, the Redditor redrunner89 Lvl 36 Team Instinct from the US, it appears to be 10k egg rare mon w/3 evolutions, in dex order, alternated with starters in dex order, just as we thought.
If Niantic follows this pattern we can easily figure it out who is coming next as a special Pokemon, through July 2019.
The following was posted on TSR, by redrunner89 and with his approval, we can show you what Pokemon might be coming next.
- July 8: Squirtle
- August: Ralts
- September: Chikorita
- October: Slakoth
- November: Cyndaquil
- December: Trapinch
- January: Totodile
- February: Bagon
- March: Treeko
- April: Beldum
- May: Torchic
- June: Gible
- July: Mudkip
