Update 11/16/2018: Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu! and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee! launched today on Nintendo Switch, and as previously announced by Pokemon Go Japan, a new Kanto event is now live.
The Kanto event starts today and will last until November 27 at 1:00 PM PT, featuring:
- Increased spawn rate of Kanto region Pokemon
- From November 23 until November 26 at 1:00 PM PST, Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Raichu and Alolan Raichu will be the new Raid Bosses
- Increased shiny rate for all Kanto Pokemon
- New Avatar items – Pikachu and Eevee hats for free!
Previous Story 11/13/2018: Trainers, November 16 marks the release of Pokemon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon Let’s Go, Eevee! and as now confirmed by Pokemon Go Japan on their official Twitter account, a new Pokemon Go event will take place on the same day.
The new event will mark the release of the Pokemon Let’s Go series and players will see increased spawn rate of Kanto region Pokemon including Pikachu and Eevee.

There are no details about this event, but we hope to see Detective Hat Pikachu as a special reward, all Gen 1 shiny forms and some cool bonuses.
