Pokemon Go Maximum Trainer Level Stays 40, Niantic’s Product Manager Confirmed

The product manager of Pokemon Go Matt Slemon was recently interviewed by a German press, and it looks like Pokemon Go Max Trainer level is not getting increased anytime soon, so it’s staying at 40 for now.

The German online publication mein-mmo.de had a chance to talk with Niantic’s Product Manager Matt Slemon and ask him about the future plans for Pokemon Go.

For those who are not familiar who Matt Slemon is – He takes care of the marketing, but also the planning of Pokemon Go.

Niantic invited press representatives from all over Germany to an event where PvP Trainer Battles were presented and on this event, Matt Slemon was asked if they are planning to increase the Max Trainer Lvl, and here is what he answered:

No, there will be no level increase added for the time being. Level 40 remains the maximum level in Pokemon Go.

We take this statement very serious, as he should be well informed about the future of Pokemon Go.
