The fourth Generation of Pokemon made its debut last year, to be more precise on October 16, 2018, with the release of 26 Gen 4 Pokemon, and until today (January 2, 2018), Niantic released 61 Gen 4 Pokemon total.
The very first Gen 4 Pokemon wave went live on October 16, 2018, and the following Pokemon started to spawn:

At the end of the same month, Niantic introduced the Sinnoh Stone evolution item together with the Pokemon that require Sinnoh Stone to evolve:

The last Gen 4 Pokemon of 2018 was

and this Legendary Pokemon is still available in the game as a T5 Raid Boss until January 15.
