Update 4/9: Trainers, the new Lucky Friends feature is now live and here is everything you should know:
- Only Best Friends will have a chance to become Lucky Friends and you will have this chance once per day
- Best Friends have to interact (Trade Pokemon, Send Gifts, team up in Raids or Gym Battles and/or challenge each other in a PvP Battle) to become Lucky Friends
- When becoming Lucky Friends with someone, you will receive a notification
- Lucky Friends will be highlighted in orange and “lucky” icons will show up next to the nickname
- When trading a Pokemon with a Lucky Friend, both Pokemon will become Lucky Pokemon
- After completing the trade, the Lucky Friend status will return to Best Friend status
For last, new Avatar Poses are now live and each one will cost you 500 Pokecoins.

Previous Story 3/19: Trainers, the world famous Pokemon Go dataminer Chrales discovered two new cool features in the Game Master file – Lucky Friends and new Adventure Sync ‘awareness’ notification.
The hidden genius behind every network hint found new features in Pokemon Go’s GM file, and it looks like friends can now become Lucky Friends. This means both Pokemon traded between the Lucky Friends will become Lucky Pokemon. See below for more details, thanks to Chrales.

Chrales reported finding a second new feature related to Adventure Sync, called ‘awareness’. This new feature will notify players when there is a Pokemon nearby and Adventure Sync can find nearby new Pokemon when the app is closed. Chrales has posted the following on his official Twitter account first:
New feature of Adventure Sync : “awareness”
“Now Adventure Sync can notify you about nearby new Pokémon!”
“Adventure Sync can find nearby new Pokémon even while Pokémon GO is closed!”
Now, we’re not sure when these features will be launched, or how many times Lucky Friends will be able to trade Pokemon, but we hope this is not a one-time thing.
