Trainers, the dual-type Dragon/Psychic Legendary Gen 3 Pokemon Latios returns to Raid Battles on April 15, and players around the globe will have one week, until April 22, to battle and catch the Legendary Pokemon.
Niantic and Pokemon Go announced a Special Raid Week featuring Latios as T5 Raid Boss, and this event will start on April 15 at 1:00 PM PDT and will last until April 22 at 1:00 PM PDT.
During this period Latios will appear as Tier 5 Raid Boss in the game, and as confirmed by Niantic, players will have a chance to catch its shiny form (see the image below for comparison).
The Legendary Pokemon Latios is easy to defeat, and a team of 3 or 2 players (if windy) can beat it.
Here is a list of counters that will help you when challenging the new, upcoming Raid Boss:
- Rayquaza – Dragon Tail/Outrage
- Salamance – Dragon Tail/Draco Meteor
- Dialga – Dragonbreath/Draco Meteor
- Dragonite – Dragon Tail/Outrage
- Palkia – Dragon Tail/Draco Meteor
