Previous Story June 8, 2019: Trainers, Slakoth Community Day event has begun in some parts of the world and the community is reporting of many problems during the event, such as low to none Slakoth spawns in the wild and the weather function not working properly.
The Pokemon Go community is reporting on seeing many issues with the app today:
- The game went down in Taiwan, the UK, Europe and in Asia during Slakoth CD event. The game was also down in the US during that period and we hope Niantic will fix the issue before Slakoth CD event goes live in the US
- Slakoth spawns are low to none in some regions during CD hours
- The weather function is unavailable worldwide at the moment of writing this post
Niantic confirmed the weather system is not working and they will try their best to fix the issue:
Trainers, the weather function of Pokémon GO is currently unavailable. We're working on resolving this as soon as possible, we're sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for your patience!

Players are furious with the low to none Slakoth spawns in the wild during the Community Day event for the past hour, so we really hope to see a fix from Niantic before the event ends – an extra hour or more would be a great idea.
Any update on the zero slakoth spawns in Europe?
