Trainers, Gen 5 is coming on September 16, 2019, and it looks like a new Special Evolution item that can make certain species to evolve, called Unova Stone, is also coming to the game.
Following the tweet from Chrales, the most famous Pokemon GO dataminer, it is clear that Pokemon Go is about to receive a new sort of item that will allow Trainers to evolve certain Unova Pokemon.
The stone that has the power to do this is named Unova Stone and can be used to evolve only Pokemon from the Unova region – It won’t be used to evolve Pokemon from previous regions and generations.
Unova Stone is a rare stone that originates from the Unova region that can make certain species of Pokemon evolve. It is known for its intertwined black and white appeareance.
Unova Pokemon that Require Unova Stone to Evolve
This is just our theory and nothing is confirmed, so please have in mind that the list will be updated as soon as we gather more info.
We know that there are many unique evolutions in Unova. Some of these Pokemon can evolve with the normal candy costs, some can evolve only when trading, and some only when using a Special Evolution Stone, in our case the Unova Stone.
