PlayStation Update 7.00 Party and Remote Play Improvements
Sony has already announced that they are working on improvements for the PlayStation 4, including Party and Remote Play.
Let’s start with the fact that the update is available today, October 8th. One of the confirmed improvements is related to the recently released PS4 Remote Play feature on the iPhone and iPad.
Android users can already benefit from the PS4 Remote Play, which lets you experience PlayStation 4 games from a phone or tablet. To do this you simply need to download the Remote Play app on Google Play and have an Android 5.0 or higher.
Sony has also updated this app for iOS users, allowing players to be able to use lock screen orientation for a better experience, and if that wasn’t enough, you’ll also be able to connect DualShock 4 via Bluetooth on Android, iPhone, iPad and Mac. To make this possible you must have Android 10, iOS 13, iPadOS 13 or macOS Catalina.
Another change comes in the Party function – player groups will receive a maximum of 16 instead of 8. There will also be optimizations for audio quality and network connections.
The Party App will also offer the Chat Transcription feature on mobile devices.
This option is currently available only for the US region and we expect to see it available worldwide very soon.
