CD Projekt Red Will Start Working on a New “Witcher” Game

Have you had fun playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt? Assuming the game has caught up to its first planned popularity, the developing studio is ready to set on a new Witcher journey. This, however, won’t be connected to any of the previous Witcher series.

A sort of entirely new narrative that will be in the same world, unlikely a sequel to the Witcher 3. However, to get to this point, CD Projekt Red will first need to publish Cyberpunk 2077, which is probably the most anticipated game for 2020. First scheduled to release earlier, then postponed for the summer for further polishing.

The news has arrived from Eurogamer.pl, in which the president of the CD Projekt Red group Adam Kiciński claims that the new title the studio will be working on after the release of Cyberpunk 2077 will be embedded in the Witcher universe.

We have already been working on another single-player game, we have created a relatively clear concept that is waiting for further development. And this is already happening, although we do not want to spend time at the moment.

Immediately after the completion of work on Cyberpunk 2077, work on the next title will start from a hoof – he adds. The new project is embedded in the Witcher universe, which is in line with the earlier assurances of CD Project.

Having already created two different worlds, the company is seeking for a possible expansion of multiple titles; all worked around them. Simply said, each consecutive game by CD Projekt Red to be either a Witcher or another Cyberpunk series.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
