Pokemon Go Battle League and Trainer Battles Changes

Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go are giving their best to keep the community safe and at the same time, they want players to continue to have fun and catch ’em all while staying at home during these tough times.
Niantic and Pokemon Go postponed the Abra Community Day due to the COVID-19 outbreak and in ‘exchange’ for it, they launched a new event with cool bonuses and a one-time purchase bundle.
Now, as confirmed by Niantic’s official Twitter account, they removed the walking requirement for Go Battle League globally for the next 30 days and lowered the remote Battle requirements to Good Friends.
Trainers, for the next 30 days, we will be making the following changes for GO Battle League and Trainer Battles with friends:

We are removing the walking requirement in GO Battle League to unlock sets. If you’re currently in the middle of walking to earn a set, it will take effect from your next set.

For Trainer Battles with friends, we’ve lowered the requirement so you can send challenge invites to Trainers who are your Good Friends.

These changes may continue beyond the 30 days.
Niantic and Pokemon Go are giving their best to keep the community safe and enjoy the game at the same time. Hats off!
