Pokemon Go Recent Changes and Adjustments

We have seen many adjustments being made by Niantic over the course of many years. This particular period, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the events which were supposed to happen in St. Louis and the Abra Community Day, were canceled until further notice.
Besides canceling the events, Niantic has also made a few other changes. On their Twitter page, Niantic said that these changes affect Ex Raids, the friendship system, and the new fighting league. They stated that they will be not sending any EX Raid invitations during this coronavirus pandemic. They continued to say that the ones who have already received an invitation, can use it if they want to.
Changes have been made in the GO Battle League too. Niantic has removed the minimum walking of 3KM which was required to unlock a set of GO Battle league for the next 30 days. In other words, you can fight as many times as you like without stepping out of your apartment/house.
They also reported that the players can send invitations to trainer matches, to friends with whom they have obtained the “good friend” level.
It is said that these adjustments will be in the game, initially, for 30 days, beginning from March 14th.
Keep on checking our site for new adjustments, information and other additions to the game.

Trainers, for community safety, we will be temporarily halting invites for EX Raids. Those who currently have invites will be able to complete their EX Raids, but for the time being, new invites will not be issued. We’ll share an update when we start sending invites again.

We are removing the walking requirement in GO Battle League to unlock sets. If you’re currently in the middle of walking to earn a set, it will take effect from your next set.
