Pokemon Go’s GBL (Great Battle League) is great, but it evokes anger, anxiety and many other bad emotions in its players, that even some of them started reporting problems regarding this League.
Many of them say that they have had some lag issues, many problems with the servers and some of them got several errors. There have been times where players got totally exhausted from battling so much. The level of anxiety while battling in GBL gets worse and worse the more you participate in these battles.
Our guess is that the reason behind this feeling is losing rewards if a battle is being lost, or even when a Premium Raid Pass is being wasted.
Our suggestion is maybe you could set up a goal for yourself, something like which rank you should reach by, let’s say, a week, a month.
The problem with these battles is the way of how rewards are won. There is a huge amount of pressure to get them before the system resets. We have reached out to several players to ask them whether they got the same feeling, and the answer was yes from all of them. Many of them felt the pressure, anxiety, and fear while battling in GBL.
On the other hand, the servers are horrible. There has been a situation when there wasn’t connectivity, or the servers were down, or Niantic deciding to fix something without an announcement in advance.
Keep in mind that this new feature is still in the works, so maybe in the near future things will get better and hopefully, they will fix most of the issues.
