We have seen many changes being made since the COVID-19 pandemic took over the world. Niantic made the game more home-friendly due to social distancing and “Stay at Home” measures imposed by many countries.
In the last few days, many countries started to remove these radical measures and began to bring back a normal lifestyle. But it seems like Niantic will keep these “Play at Home” changes in the future.
Some new features and spawns that were available for a limited time will not return, but the other features will be kept in Pokemon GO. Remote Raid Passes as of this moment are made a permanent feature. There have been some rumors going around that Niantic will be adding a new menu in the mobile AR in order to highlight which home activities can be done from the comfort of your home.
The new Play at Home menu will show the activities that can be done from your home, and it will be combined with Today’s view.
This will probably make tracking of the activities much easier at any time. Play at Home will have six categories: Catch, Gift, Battle, Research, Buddy, and Style.
This new menu will also show all about the new updates, how to get a daily bonus Field Research task, or how to initiate a Trainer Battle through QR Code.
