Pokemon Go A Hairy Situation Special Research Tasks and Rewards

Trainers, a new pay-to-play Special Research called “A Hairy Situation” is on the way and we must play during a specified time, to complete the given tasks and receive the bonus.

The “A Hairy Situation” Special Research is going live on June 20, 2020, from 11 AM to 5 PM local time, during the Weedle Community Day event, and according to the text discovered in the GM file by PokeMiners, we must play during the specified time to receive the bonus. There is no info on what the bonus is, but we do know that this would be a four-stage Special Research featuring various tasks, rewards, and encounters. In addition, they discovered the story text and you can find it below.

A Hairy Situation Tasks and Rewards

Hey there, %PLAYERNAME%! Are you experiencing this incredibly bizarre situation? I stepped out of my mobile lab this morning to see needle-like horns poking out of the grass all around me.

Luckily, I saw that big red nose also poking out and realized they were just Weedle, the Hairy Bug Pokémon. I guess you could say we’re in a…hairy situation

Weedle’s horn measures in at about 2 inches, is sharp, and, most importantly, is toxic. It acts as a sharp stinger that injects poison! Let’s investigate this situation further, but watch your step!

I know some of you think you’ll have better luck while adventuring if you go barefoot, but I wouldn’t advise this considering there are Weedle with needles everywhere!

Nice footwork, Trainer. A fascinating tidbit I read when you were completing your tasks was that a Weedle has an extremely acute sense of smell.

It distinguishes its favorite kinds of leaves from those it dislikes by sniffing with its big, red, and, in my opinion, honkable nose.

I can think of a number of times this useful skill would have come in handy, especially when the team leaders start sharing snacks around the lab and haven’t thought to offer me any.

Anyway, I think that we should look further into Weedle’s evolution. I can’t wait to see what other fascinating details we learn.

Well done with that evolving, %PLAYERNAME%. However, it looks like the evolved form of Weedle, Kakuna is just…sitting there. I knew the Cocoon Pokémon didn’t move much, but wow, seeing it in person has made me realize that…it really does just sit there. Though it seems like it’s doing nothing, it’s actually extremely busy on the inside as it prepares for its coming evolution.

This is evident from how hot the shell becomes to the touch! Isn’t that exciting? There was so much happening beneath the surface that we would’ve never known if we hadn’t started researching Weedle! Let’s keep going! I think that Kakuna of yours is ready to show you what it’s been working on.

Your Weedle has tried so hard and got so far! And in the end, it’s reached its third evolution with three poisonous stingers and wings that allow it to fly quickly.

Talk about a glo up! Beedrill, the Poison Bee Pokémon, is known for being extremely territorial. These creatures sometimes attack in swarms and nests of them in the wild are considered very dangerous!

Beedrill is a powerful Bug- and Poison-Type Pokémon that may surprise you if used in Trainer Battles.

Thanks for your help today, %PLAYERNAME%. I’ll be in touch once I figure out how to maneuver my mobile lab out of this area, I fear I might get a flat tire from all of these needles crawling about!
