Previous Story: Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go will be celebrating their fourth anniversary with a new in-game event, features, bonuses, and special boxes.

Pokemon Go was launched back in 2016 and since its launch, the game has progressed a lot and we have to say it’s one of the best free-to-play mobile games out there. Niantic and Pokemon Go broke a lot of records, made incredible revenue, and put a smile on a lot of Pokemon Go players’ faces.

Now, let’s get back to their fourth-anniversary in-game event and what we might see during the limited-time event.

They didn’t say when the event will go live nor what bonuses will players enjoy, but we do know there will be three new special boxes – Special, Ultra, and Adventure Box. These boxes will have various items and we’re really looking forward to seeing what items will be included.

If we follow last year’s event time and bonuses, then we could say the fourth-anniversary event could go live starting on June 28-29 and might end on July 6-7. It would be great to see a new Special Research, most likely the Mythical Pokemon Victini and the return of Team Go Rocket.

They’ve been teasing the return of Team Go Rocket, so we might see their hot-air balloon and the Grunts taking over Gyms.

That’s all for now, so get aboard the HYPE TRAIN and enjoy the ride!
