The relatively new video game Gears 5 the fifth installment on the Gears of War game franchise has gotten a new update. The update is called Operation 4: Brothers in Arms and is currently available on Xbox One. It brings major changes to Ranked, the store, and to the game overall.
Firstly it has to be said that this update brings the largest one-time drop of characters in Gears 5 with Garron Paduk, Dom Santiago, the UIR Solider, Karn, Jinn-Bot, and the Locust Grenadier which are all playable in Versus.
Secondly, the new update introduces changes in the Ranked mode as stated previously. More precisely they have constructed a brand new ranking system in which players have to pay a certain amount of Gears Points to enter a match in which they compete to get those points back and earn even more to contribute to climbing to the next rank.
And lastly Gears 5 has gotten a brand new store in which there is a massive permanent collection. The items in the store will be updated on every Operation and never leave. You can grab the items whenever you want using the all-new Gears Coins currency (or Iron).
