Pokemon Trading Card Game Raid Battles

The loved company responsible for brand management, production, marketing, and licensing of the Pokémon franchise “The Pokémon Company” has come up with a way to incorporate Raid Battles into the Pokémon Trading Card Game, and you can get into it straight away.

First a brief explanation of what is a Raid Battle. Raid Battles are first introduced in Pokémon GO and they are battles where you team up with other players to fight giant, powerful Pokémon. This is also a prominent feature of Pokémon Sword and Shield on Switch.

As what the trailer has shown you will need the following to get started: Four players – who all have two Pokémon cards each – as well as a ‘Boss’ Pokémon card, a deck of 5 Cheer cards, a deck of 20 Boss Attack cards, a deck of 5 Cheer cards, four Knock Out counters, a playmat, and a coin.

If you are a TCG regular you most likely already have some of these lying at home just search a little, but if you are new to this you can go to the official Pokémon site and print the materials out. Also following the same link you will find a “Digital Raid Battle Assistant” which lets you track how your Raid Battles are going in an online environment.
