The eighth main release in the famous Yakuza series developed and published by Sega “Yakuza: Like a Dragon” will be the first in the series that will have English, German, French, Italian and Spanish subtitles contrary to the other games in the franchise which were limited to English titles. The official RGG Studio Twitter account was where the announcement has come from.
With these changes, fans around the world will be able to enjoy the game in their language of choice and will make the game more accessible for people overseas, specifically Europe. Following recent announcements Yakuza: Like a Dragon was announced for a November release.
The game is planned to have a version for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X. Another big addition to the Western release aside from the subtitles will be dual audio, meaning that players will be able to play with Japanese audio if wanted or with English audio. And by the recent Yakuza: Like a Dragon Heroes of Tomorrow trailer it can be seen that lip-sync has also been recorded for the English performances.
We’re pleased to announce that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will launch with English 🇺🇸, French 🇫🇷, Italian 🇮🇹, German 🇩🇪, and Spanish 🇪🇸 subtitles!
