Grand Theft Auto V with over 135 Million units sold, Borderlands 3, NBA 2K20 and more

Multiple companies have shared their financial results for the first quarter of 2020. Take-Two Interactive was one of the companies that have shared their data, among which the GTA V title has a strong influence on its income. If not, the original title for a huge success. Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 5 has managed to sell over 135 million units worldwide, which brings us to a holy record.

At this point, it looks like Rockstar Games doesn’t need a new title at all. GTA V is still able to suck money, and will probably do so in the coming period. Back to the report, Take-Two Interactive has also shared data about Red Dead Redemption 2, which has already managed to get to 32 million units sold.

Borderlands 3 sales have reached number as high as 10.5 million, and The Outer Worlds 2.8 million units sold. Furthermore, NBA 2K20 has been conceded as the most significant income driver for Take-Two with 14 million sales after launch.

According to Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick:

In the first quarter, NBA 2K20 significantly outperformed our expectations, and recently achieved a franchise milestone of $1 billion in net bookings since launch.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
