King’s Bounty II Delayed to 2021

Developed by 1C Entertainment and published by Deep Silver, King’s Bounty II is an ambitious upcoming release. It is a mix of a third-person RPG and a strategy game. The game was initially supposed to be released in 2020, but their newest trailer in Gamescom 2020 revealed that it’d come to shelves in 2021. The players take on a role out of 3 unique heroes.

The gameplay is divided into two parts: a classic third-person RPG, where they take on quests and explore the fantastical world, and a strategic combat style turn-based game when conflict arises.

It was also revealed that 1C Entertainment reached a co-publishing agreement with Koch Media (the parent company of Deep Silver). Nikolay Baryshnikov, CEO of 1C Entertainment said:

“I am very happy to team up with Koch Media for our upcoming release of King’s Bounty 2 game. I believe that this is a classic example of a partnership when the result is much better than just the sum of two parts.”

Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO at Koch Media, replied:

We are delighted to team up with 1C Entertainment for this upcoming release. King’s Bounty 2 fits perfectly into our broad portfolio of quality games for gamers. Our teams in Munich and around the world are going to support the dev team at 1C with all of our local and global publishing and marketing experience.

King’s Bounty II will be available for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, with a probability of getting released for next-gen consoles.
