Trainers, “A Mega Discovery” is a new Special Research, featuring four stages of tasks, rewards, Mega encounters, Mega Energy and Mega Beedrill.
The “A Mega Discovery” Special Research introduces the Mega Evolution feature in Pokemon Go for the first time and below you can find the list of all tasks and rewards.

- Send 3 Gifts to Friends: x10 PokeBall
- Earn a Candy walking with your Buddy: x10 Super Potion
- Catch 15 Pokemon: x25 Beedrill Mega Energy
- Rewards: Weedle encounter, x3 Rare Candy and 5,000 XP

- Power up Pokemon 5 times: x20 Weedle Candy
- Evolve 1 Weedle: x2,000 Stardust
- Defeat 3 Team Go Rocket Grunts: x1 Premium Raid Pass
- Rewards: x100 Beedrill Mega Energy, x1 Charge TM and 5,000 XP

- Win a Raid: x6 Revives
- Battle in a Mega Raid: x2 Silver Pinap Berry
Take a snapshot of your Buddy: x6 Hyper Potion- They’ve changed the take a snapshot tasks and it now shows Catch 10 Pokemon for x6 Hyper Potion
- Rewards: x25 Beedrill Mega Energy, x3 Rare Candy and 5,000 XP
