Pokemon Go and Niantic are Working on a New Visual Map

We have some very exciting news for our Pokemon GO fans! Niantic and Pokemon Go are working on a new project, which will include a new look for the in-game map, we will get different styles, new map layers, and more.

It is not yet clear whether they are overlaying their maps over the ones gotten from Open Street Maps or if they are making a brand new one on their own. The last great thing we knew we will be getting soon is Mega Evolutions, a new special guest (Professor Willow’s friend), and some new updates.

The maps we have at the moment haven’t been updated since December 2017, which is almost three years now. Niantic could also update the spawning data while they are working on the new map.

What do you think about this? Sound off below in the comment section, we would like to hear your opinion.

Hi, gamers! You can call me Mr. DComplex. I'm a gamer, a hardcore gamer. My favorite genres are Action RPG and MMORPG. At the moment I'm using my PC as my only gaming platform, but soon I might get a new PS4 from Angel. Update - Angel did get me a PS4, oh wait, it's the PS4 PRO 1TB!!! Much love bro!

  1. It would be cool to see some visual improvements and enhancements to game play. But by observation the game has become increasingly laggy and prone to crash recently. It could become unplayable if Niantic dont take more care

  2. The maps are great the way they are because they are not complacated and easy to see plus they are easy for my phone to handle.

I think the new map would take long to load , create lag and would be difficult to navigate with.
