Pokemon GO to discontinue support for Android 5, iOS 10, and iOS 11, as well as iPhone 5s and iPhone 6

And here we go...

A new update is coming to Pokemon GO, which means there are good news and some bad ones. In this update, Niantic has decided to drop the support for devices running Android 5, Ios 10, and IOS 11. Until this update, Apple users needed an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad containing a 64-bit processor with Ios 10 or later.

PoGO will not be available anymore for these devices. There is another catch. iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 will not have the support, even with iOS 12. Unfortunately, it is quite common for the developers to drop support for Apple devices because Pokemon GO is an AR-based game that needs better performance than the other games.

We do not know yet whether players owning these devices can play after the update in October. The good thing is that iPhone 6s and newer devices can play the game if the latest software is installed.
