Pokemon Go Gen 6 Possible Release Date, Sylveon and Team Flare

Trainers, now that Mega Evolutions are live in the game, we can say that we expect to see the Pokemon from Kalos region, or Gen 6, and the last Eeveelution, Sylveon. very soon, most likely this month.

The 6th Gen will bring 72 new Pokemon species from the Kalos region, one evolution from a  Pokemon featured in a previous generation Eevee-Sylveon, Mega Evolutions, and new moves. What is quite interesting is that in the main series, they introduced a new villainous team, Team Flare.

Team Flare has only bad intentions – to make money and create a “beautiful and better” world for themselves and eliminate all who don’t meet their standards.

This doesn’t confirm that we’re going to get a new set of villains, like previously Team GO Rocket, but this would definitely make the game more fun. That means we could get Team Flare Field Research tasks, face their Leader Lysandre in a battle, and show them who’s the best Pokemon Go Trainer.

Sylveon is the only one evolution from a Pokemon featured in previous generations, Gen 1 Eevee, and is the last Eeveelution.

There is no word about the release date, so we just have to guess when they will make their debut in Pokemon Go.

Until this day, they introduced Pokemon from Gen 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8 and we follow the pattern (excluding Gen 8), we could guess when they will most likely receive the Gen 6 Pokemon.

  • Gen 2 – 2/17/2017
  • Gen 3 – 10/20/2017
  • Gen 4 – 10/16/2018
  • Gen 5 – 9/16/2019
  • Gen 6 – TBA

We expect them to release the first wave of Gen 6 Pokemon (probably the starters) sometime in October 2020 (maybe as part of the upcoming Halloween 2020 event), and then to release the rest as part of in-game events.
