Pokemon Go Special Weekend Event in Japan

Hello fellow trainers living in Japan, we have some exciting news for you! There will be a special event happening in Pokemon GO for which Pokemon GO will partner up with “Seven-Eleven,” “SoftBank” and “Matsumoto Kiyoshi.”

We found out that the event “Pokemon GO Special Weekend” will begin on Saturday, November 7, 2020, and will end on Sunday, November 8, 2020. The tickets will be available in the official partner stores, but the price is not known yet.

As you all know, to participate in this event, you have to buy a ticket and then enter the promotion code that is attached to the ticket to the promotion code input page. On the day of the beginning of the event, when you open the app, you will notice Research tasks that are related to it. This event is for Japan only.

The event is supposed to begin at 11 o’clock on Saturday, November 7th and end the very next day, Sunday, November 8th. We are posting the event time chart:

  • SoftBank / Seven-Eleven: Japan time Saturday, November 7, 2020, from 11 AM to 2 PM
  • Matsumoto Kiyoshi: Japan time Sunday, November 8, 2020, from 11 AM to 2 PM

As reported, if you are participating in this event, you’ll have a chance to catch the following Pokemon:

  • On November 7 from 11 AM to 2 PM: Unown S and B, shiny Absol
  • On November 8 from 11 AM to 2 PM: Unown M and K, shiny Mawile
