CoD: Black Ops Cold War beta start times and content

CoD: Black Ops Cold War beta is about to begin today for all pre-orders. In its light, we’re here to share more info regarding the start times and content available during this time. Black Ops Cold War’s PC beta will be fully accessible to PS4 players only, while the PC and Xbox One players have to deem the pre-order access, meaning that only those who have pre-ordered the game will be able to play it in the first two days of its timeline.

The PC Black Ops Cold War beta preload had begun two days ago, allowing full download of the game’s files ahead of its accessibility. Now that we have everything set and ready let’s jump to the official start times.

Start Times

  • Black Ops Cold War beta will kick-off on Thursday, October 15, at 10 AM PT for PC and Xbox One pre-orders. Accessible to everyone on the PS4.
  • Over the coming weekend (October 17 through October 19), the game will be accessible to download for each individual regardless of the pre-order status.

Content available at beta

The beta content will include a variety of multiplayer game modes and will support cross-play between all platforms. The promised progression system will also occur, allowing players to sense the grind in unlocking gadgets, killstreaks, weapon modifications, and more. The progress is unlikely to carry over when the game releases.

While we do not know what kind of game modes there will be (besides the Fireteam: Dirty Bomb, 6v6, and Combined Arms, which is a 12v12), there’s a high possibility of playlist shuffle during this time.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
