The most exciting “spooky” event in Pokemon GO is right around the corner. A few moments ago, Niantic confirmed that there will be a more frequent appearance of Ghost-type Pokemon in the wild during the Catch Mastery: Ghost event.
These spooky Pokemon will start appearing on Sunday, October 25th from 8:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m. local time. The “featured” Pokemon is Drifloon. Be sure to catch as many as you can and maybe you will be lucky enough to encounter the Shiny version of this Pokemon. Niantic also said that they will release exclusive Timed Research tasks, which when completed, you will be rewarded Mega Gengar Energy (this means that we will see Mega Gengar very soon). The bonus this event will have is additional XP when catching Pokemon with Nice, Great, Excellent and Curveball Throws.
Niantic is asking you to be nice, aware of your surroundings, keep on being positive, and testing negative. Please follow guidelines from health authorities in your country while playing PoGO.
