You won’t be able to steal cars in Cyberpunk 2077 like in GTA V

In the latest Night City Wire episode, CD Projekt Red Senior Level Designer Miles Tost revealed that you wouldn’t be able to walk up to a car and steal it. Players will be required to have a specific RPG skill-set to be a budding car thief.

What it means is that you’ll need to have specific stats to steal vehicles, which limits your freedom, unlike in GTA V. You also won’t be able to keep the cars you steal. In GTA V, players can steal any car they wish from any place and then reuse if they find them again.

With Cyberpunk 2077 aiming to be one of the most highly anticipated games of 2020 with seven years of development, its gameplay has been compared to GTA V several times. The game takes players to the futuristic city of Night City, where areas are ruled over by gangs that players will interact with.

A few days ago, after numerous delays, it was announced that Cyberpunk 2077 would get delayed until December 10th. The game will arrive for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia.
