Pokemon Go How Far can we Trade Now?

Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go announced a limited-time trade range test, and many players, including myself, want to know how far we can trade now. Well, we gathered info from 10 Pokemon Go players and almost all of them gave us different distances.

According to the reports from these Pokemon Go players, we have concluded that the trade range limit is 11.99km/7.5 miles. Some players say that they made a successful trade 15km/9.3 miles away.

It is not yet clear why Niantic and Pokemon Go are doing this test, but according to their announcement, if Pokemon Go players give positive feedback, they could increase the trading range in the future.

The trade range test will end on November 16 at 10 AM PST (GMT -8) and we hope to see more detailed information. What do you think about the new trade range? Do you agree and would you like to see increased trade range as part of future events? We would like to hear your opinion, so please leave a comment in the comment section below.

  1. Hi
I personally believe that extending the trade distance is now a requirement of the game given that there is remote raiding making it possible to raid not only locally but also with persons world wide. One problem that has arisen from this situation is when you hit a lucky trade with someone who lives at the opposite end of the world to you. It’s a little frustrating when you can’t then complete that trade. Extending trade distances could possibly end this frustrating situation!
