Pokemon Go Winter Season of Celebration

Niantic has informed us that a new season will roll out in the game, the Season of Celebration.

The new event will begin on Tuesday, December 1st, 2020 at 8:00 a.m and will end on March 1st, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. local time. The Pokemon from the Kalos Region will finally grace us with their presence and there will be many other Pokemon as wild encounters, depending on the hemisphere the player is in.

Since Kalos Region is right around the corner, Niantic has decided to celebrate these long-awaited beasts. Beginning on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. these Pokemon will finally start to appear in the wild. They will even hatch from Eggs and will appear in Raids. The release of the Kalos Region will be accompanied by exclusive Field Research and Timed Research until the event ends, which is on Tuesday, December 8th, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. local time.

Growlithe and Wingull will be added to the list of Pokemon hatching from 2km Eggs, while Baltoy and Ducklett will get included in the 5km Eggs. Seel, Aron, and Elgyem will get removed from the list. The northern hemisphere will see Alolan Sandshrew, Alolan Vulpix, Seel, Lapras, Teddiursa, and Deerling in its Winter Form while the southern hemisphere will have Alolan Sandshrew, Electrike, Burmy, Darumaka, and Deerling in its Summer Form.

There will be many new additions to the Mega Pokemon list in the new year, but for now, we will only have Mega Charizard X, Mega Gengar and Mega Abomasnow. As for Mega Charizard X, this Pokemon will be more powerful during the first weeks of December, but Niantic said that during this Season of Celebration, there will be a rotation of which Pokemon is going to be more powerful.

Community Day in December will be an event to remember. As it is the last Community Day of 2020, Niantic has decided to combine all past Community Days, which means that all past Community Day Pokemon will be appearing in the wild and raids. The event will start on Saturday, December 12th, 2020, and will end on Sunday, December 13th, 2020.

We might have mentioned in our previous posts, but the GO Battle League will now expand to 24 ranks, while the first four ranks will have all-new names and badges that go with the new title. The new season of the GO Battle League will start on Monday, November 30th, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.

All we have to say is, Catch ‘em All!
