Police Public Safety Alert: PS5 and Xbox Series X Robberies, Some are with Violance

With the consoles sold out everywhere, you can imagine, the sketchy profiteers are making their debut on reselling websites. PS5 is out of stock in every store, and every official website you have in mind, so it is quite hard to find it.
Recently, the police in Toronto, Canada, has tweeted that they have gotten many reports of robberies involving a PS5 console. On Craigslist and Kijiji, you can find a long list of the next-gen Sony console with a price ranging from $900-$1,400, which is outrageous, because the original price of the console is $629 in Canada.
There have been situations where people who were trying to buy a console from the abovementioned websites, got held at gunpoint or got robbed when lured into dark, insecure places.

“People are selling game systems online. We have had numerous reports of robberies — Some robberies are with weapons/violence,” the Toronto police stated.
Their advice for the public is to choose an area that is secured enough to make sure you are not getting robbed while making a deal. Locals say that the best places for these situations are the police stations and banks.
We know that you all want to get your hands on the PlayStation 5, but please be aware of your surroundings, do not give your personal information to anyone and do not travel to these places alone.
